I love the strong contrasts against the soft colours in this oil and cold wax painting with photo collage.  I recently walked along the North Norfolk coastline, peering at the formations on the cliff face.  The light on these ancient surfaces changes all the time, as does the surface as it braves the onslaught of the weather and the elements, sometimes gentle and soft, sometimes brutal and destructive.  Change is constant.
