I am a contemporary painter working from my garden studio in the heart of the Cambridgeshire Fens where I have lived for nearly 40 years.
In my paintings I use cold wax medium with oil paints to create layers into which I add surface texture, marks and lines. My paintings are about weathering, ancient lines, marks of age, reflections of constant change and the passage of time. I am currently focussing on shorelines, rock surfaces and geological formations, fascinated by the minutiae of detail and the immensity of geological mass of our precious environment which we inhabit and impact both locally and globally.
